Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 10, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Tableflip (“the Service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Alpha Software
Tableflip is currently in an early alpha stage. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and data loss is possible. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or uninterrupted availability.
We recommend not relying on Tableflip for anything business-critical while it remains in alpha.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you are using Tableflip on behalf of an employer or organization, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms on their behalf.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Harass, abuse, or harm another person, or upload unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or underlying infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service (e.g. excessive automated requests, attempts to overload real-time connections)
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, at our discretion.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the session names, task descriptions, and estimates you submit through the Service. By using Tableflip, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service on your behalf (e.g. displaying it to session participants, saving session results).
Do not enter confidential, sensitive, or regulated information into session names or task descriptions. Given the alpha status of the Service described above, we cannot guarantee this data will be retained or protected to the standard you may require for such information.
6. Data We Collect
We collect the information necessary to operate the Service: your name and email address (for authentication), a hashed password, and the session/room/estimate data you create. We use a third-party provider to send account-related emails (such as password resets). We do not sell your data.
7. Support the Project
Tableflip is currently free to use. If we offer an optional way to support development (e.g. a Ko-fi link), any contribution is voluntary, non-refundable, and does not entitle you to additional features, guaranteed uptime, or priority support unless explicitly stated otherwise.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time while in alpha, with or without notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tableflip and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you have paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as the Service moves out of alpha and new features (such as team accounts or paid plans) are introduced. We will update the “Last updated” date above when changes are made. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact address listed on the Tableflip site.
